In my heart Lord in my heart
'tis where all my praising starts
That is where I've hid Thy Word
there my strength I safely gird

Oh how much I've learned today
as my heart yearned in Thy way
Angels surrounded me as support
to Thee providing my good report

Father I thank You for loving me
making me true to You eternally
Daily I see both pain and blight
no gains lest I stand as Thy light

I am Your handiwork in progress
forgive my detours as I oft digress
This life of mine is under repairs
proof that my Dear Creator cares

It is You Oh Lord who by Thy grace
came to my heart in warm embrace
Together we face both good and bad
You're the best friend I've ever had

In my heart Dear Lord in my heart
where You are and never to depart
Thy loving blessings I will daily see
make me all You desire me to be
